Minutes of the Bombay Cafe meeting on Tuesday 7th December 2004.

Apologies
None - members present: 20

Reports
Paekakariki
Status quo on situation - no access to either usual launch.
Weather station out of action. Lloyd to see about access, not sure of response given the current situation (station is on the Perkins property)
Reports of certain pilots still using the airstrip and PG launch.
Agreed an email to the Manuwatu club should be done.
Laurie Ross volunteered to organise sign for stile and gate saying no access to pilots.
Lloyd to update message on station to warn of closure.
Also developments re the lookout fence. Kris to contact the KCDC re seeing about getting access to a launch in front of the fence. Suggestion that Brendan Duffys wife be contacted - she used to work for Railcorp, and may be helpful to our cause. Ken to follow this up.

TeWhiti Park
A cross has been cleared just below the firebreak, at the towers above Te Whiti Park. Apparently a church group. This has meant a possible launch from a position that suits the prevailing conditons. Council has authorised the further clearing for getting a glider to the site. Work in progress.

Meeting closed early, food believed to be on its way!!
