SITE NOTICES - info from Grant Tatham
1. WESTERN LAKE. There is a new manager here, Dave and Dianne
Walsh. 03 307 7570, 027 248 7430. They live in Eglintons old house,
the one on the left as you drive up the last hill and across the plateau
before dropping down to the beach. Dave is Ok with our continued access
here, but would appreciate a call, just to know who's going where. Theres a message service on both phones, and leaving a message to say you're going up to the launch is fine.

2. KOURARAU. Sam Van Den Bosch, the current owner of the property we drive through to get to launch, is selling. Handover is in the new year, to the current neighbour. Theres been no contact by the club towards this owner, but I will keep you informed. The adjoining property, which includes the North launch (its a boundary fence we climb over) is also sold to the same guy. Sam says he doesn't expect us to have any problems. The landing remains the same - Jamie Clinton-Baker.

3.WHANGAMOANA. No change, except that its been used abit this last year. Will see that a reasonable xmas gift goes Hugh Pricketts way. The only thing is - there is probably one of the easiest top landings in NZ (for hangies) on the last plateau towards the landing at Whangamoana. Its only been used (to my knowledge) the last couple of times its been flown, but it is premo! Wind can't be too light, its fairly low, and you could drop out onto the beach if you're not careful, but I have done it in light conditions OK. Last time Guy Harding was there I believe he made a pig of himself - lost count of the circuits!
