Minutes:  The December meeting was held at Thai restaurant in Petone.  An executive decision was taken by BGrant and Kris on one matter.... (but I can't remember what it was!)
 
Hang Gliding Nationals
The HG Nationals will be held in the Wellington/Wairarapa area between
9 - 17 February.  Paraglider pilots are welcome to come along at be
"wind dummies"!!  HGs will have priority during launch windows though!

Paragliding Nationals
The PG Nationals were held in Nelson from 25 Jan to 2 Feb.  Six tasks were completed (a record for a NZ Nationals!!)  Results: www.nzhgpa.org.nz/wanaka/Nelson08OV.pdf

VHF weather forecasts 
Weather forecasts and actual wind speeds are broadcast on marine VHF channel 23 which apparently is 161.750MHz.  If you have a 2m radio you can listen to it. More info: http://www.gw.govt.nz/story13894.cfm

Kourarau
We are now allowed to drive to the launch site at Kourarau - the crop has been chewed down and the paddock will be replanted in grass shortly.
