Makara Wind Farm proposal
Representatives from Meridian Energy will be coming along to the
club meeting to talk about the proposal to develop a wind farm
between Makara and the South Coast on Terawhiti Station. This
project could potentially provide access to two coastal sites that
we currently can't get to (West coast south of Makara, and the
south coast near Karori Rock).

Mt Victoria
Airways New Zealand has given the club permission to fly from Mt Victoria! The control tower needs to be phoned beforehand, and an event permit needs to be obtained from Wellington City Council. More details to follow. Do NOT fly there without speaking to Kris first!!! Map of flying area. Flying is only permitted in area "A" up to the height of the transmitter tower.
